Flash Troubleshooting Basics

This site requires the Flash Player, version 8 or higher, in order to view the intro and the Choose a Minyan installation.

Please Note: This site and the “Choose a Minyan” interactive installation has been optimized for the following browsers only*:

*Any other browser or lower version of the above browsers will have varying results and you may not be able to view the Flash interactive minyan

What to do if the “Choose A Minyan” installation does not load:

If the Choose a Minyan installation does not load for you, please ensure that each of the following minimum requirements are met:

  • You must be using a computer with a newer 600MHz processor or faster on Windows or a 500MHz processor or faster on a Mac (Most, newer Mac and PC processors are much faster than this, these are minimum requirements).
  • Your computer will need at least 128MB of RAM on Windows or Mac
  • This site was designed for optimal performance on FireFox 3 and up (on Windows and Mac), Safari 4 and up (Mac only) as well as Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (Windows only). If you are using any other browser, please consider using one of the above (FireFox is a free and easy download, and runs on both Mac and Windows).
  • Once you are using one of the compliant browsers listed above, you will need to make sure that you have JavaScript enabled (the default mode for browsers is “on”) and the latest version of the Flash Player installed.

To install Flash:

  1. Click on the Flash Player link
  2. On the Flash download page, select the “Agree and Install Now” button. Follow the directions given to you by Adobe’s website installer. Adobe’s installer will automatically determine your browser and platform (Mac or Windows) and instruct you through installing the correct player for your browser and platform.
  3. You may need to restart your browser and navigate back to BeTheTenth.com to view the site.

PC Users! Take Note!

If you have an older PC or version of IE, you may be given the following instructions for IE (see image below). Be sure to click Run or Install. Not Save or Download!
